ABOUT LearnED

LearnED is an ever adapting family of educators committed to social justice through the lens of educational equity, learning and improvement.  Our unique journeys have brought us to a place where we are eager to share and learn from educators, and empower school communities to continuously learn, grow, and improve in their practice.

LearnED currently serves school districts across the country to dismantle racial inequity and improve teaching and learning at scale. We have trained organizational leaders, Board members, superintendents, district leaders, coaches, and PK-12 educators. Our clients include Bank Street Education Center, Urban Assembly, New York City Department of Education, Southern Westchester BOCES, Edgemont Union Free School District, Newark Public Schools, and Yonkers Public Schools.

Our coaches have extensive experience with and are highly trained to facilitate Courageous Conversations About Race, Talking to Children About Race in the Classroom, Instructional Rounds in Education, Coaching for Equity, and Continuous Improvement in education.

LearnED was founded by Ami Patel Song, BBA, M.S., M.Ed. Ami has two decades of experience as a middle grades math teacher, department chair, coach, advocate, policymaker, and advisor.   

​

Ami holds a BBA from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) Ross School of Business in Finance and Organizational Behavior, an M.S. in Educational Leadership from Bank Street College as a Wallace Foundation Fellow, an M.Ed. in Elementary Education from Mercy College as a NYC Teaching Fellow, as well as her School Building Licensure (SBL) for New York State.
